100% Private Browser ExecutionStretch vs. Proportional Resize: When to Use Which
Image resizing serves two distinct use cases: preserving natural photographic proportions versus forcing an image to stretch into fixed UI layouts.
- Proportional Resize (Aspect Lock Active): Best for portraits, products, and photography. Changing the width automatically adjusts the height proportionally to prevent heads or products from looking squeezed.
- Stretch Mode (Force Dimensions): Essential when making wide background banners, gaming memes, texture maps, or meeting strict pixel bounding boxes where letterboxing or cropping is unacceptable.
- Percentage Scaling: Use 50% or 25% to quickly shrink high-megapixel camera files down to email or web-friendly proportions with a single click.
